"Design is not about making things pretty, nor is it about making something stand out.
It's about making the users experience as simple, seamless and delightful as possible."

- A wise man I knew, 2012

story time

A friend and designer told me this a few years ago. At the time I was dabbling with CSS3, trying to build my first Wordpress theme and figuring out how the hell JavaScript worked. I was stung by the code bug a few years back ( actually, when I got my first stable internet access ), but this idea of creating an experience from a blank slate struck me as the coolest thing I could do.

Fast forward to 2016. I now make a living from creating compelling experiences for my customers. My time working as a freelancer taught me flexibility, resourcefulness and searching for the underlying challenge rather than focusing on it's symptoms, while my time as the Senior Designer at Mailjet taught me teamwork, feedback analysis and how to design for a LARGE audience of people with very varied needs.

My workflow always start with a research phase ( listening to end-users, connecting with your audience and learning what worked before, what kind of did and what did not work ). Then comes sketching, which is the best way to obtain the best solution to your problem, as we do not focus on the aesthetics just yet. Prototypes and testing then allows us to finally create a beautiful and usable interface that your users will be delighted to use.
